POEM

 The Mask We Wear

A painted smile, a careful guise,

A mask I wear, before my eyes.

Pretending strength, when my hearts are frail,

Concealing tears, behind a veil.

We play our roles, in life's grand play,

Hiding truths, and slipping away.

Into a world, of make-believe,

Where fantasies, our spirits weave.
